To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, admission to the Tokyo Main Library will be limited to a maximum of 1200 visitors per day, and an admission reservation will be necessary to enter the library. Please read the following before submitting an admission reservation request form.
Patrons with a Registered User card are allowed to enter the Tokyo Main Library without a reservation between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. from Monday to Saturday or after 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
There is no time limit for patrons who enter the library at that time.
If you have already registered as a "simple registered user", please bring your identification document and apply for
user registration when you visit the library.
Applications must be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday of the week before your preferred date of visit. Click the link below to access the request form.

- The request form for admission reservations to the Tokyo Main Library is sometimes temporarily unavailable due to unexpected increases in traffic. Please try again later if you are unable to access the page.
- Applications cannot be revised or cancelled. You may submit more than one application and each one will be handled as a separate application.
- Reservations will be allocated by lottery, so there is no advantage in applying early. The probability of being selected will not increase.

- If you do not receive a reservation confirmation notification via email, you will not be allowed to enter the Tokyo Main Library.
